What brings board meetings to life?  This session will explore 11 board meeting best practices and 20 strategies that increase board meeting effectiveness. As a result, you can transform your board meetings to engage and inspire board members, tap their wisdom and focus on the future. Most importantly, you will offer board members the opportunity to invest their wisdom and passion in a cause that matters – and benefit from the deep gratification of making a significant difference through their participation.  Join BoardSource Certified Governance Trainer, Carole Rylander for this engaging and informative session.

     Carole V. Rylander, CFRE, is principal of Rylander Associates, a professional consulting firm serving not-for-profit organizations since 1998 in fund development, planning and governance. With more than 25 years of service in the sector, Carole offers customized solutions to identify unrealized opportunities, address challenges and implement realistic work plans. Carole was named 2006 Outstanding Fundraising Executive by the Dallas Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, is a past president of the Chapter and has held accreditation as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 1990. Currently, she serves as Past Chair of the Association of Philanthropic Counsel, Inc., a national association of consulting firms, and as a CNM Connect volunteer faculty member. In addition, Carole is a member of the International Association of Facilitators and is a Qualified Trainer with the Institute of Cultural Affairs.
