Join your peers and a panel of the Metroplex’s community support leaders to hear the latest about their funding priorities, initiatives, guidelines, success stories, and opportunities. Learn if your organization is a match for funding and how to best approach them to request support.
Each panelist will offer brief remarks about their foundation/company, including information on application procedures, deadlines and tips on preparing successful proposals, and various anecdotal information. After each panelist has presented, they will join a table of attendees for a more intimate question and answer session. The panelists will rotate until each table has had a chance to visit with each panelist.
Dallas Women’s Foundation is the only foundation in North Texas with a unique focus on women and girls. Since inception, we have granted more than $37.6 million dollars and we currently grant more than $4.5 million each year. Dallas Women’s Foundation invests in women and girls and empowers women’s philanthropy to build a better world. We envision an equitable society where women and girls are full participants. Dallas Women’s Foundation will consider applications for the Foundation’s Community Grants program which supports a variety of programs for women and CREW Community Outreach Grants.
The Meadows Foundation focuses on five categories of giving: arts and culture, education, health, human services, and civic and public affairs. The Foundation gives special emphasis to three current initiatives: improving public education, reducing mental illness and protecting our water resources and the natural environment. The Meadows Foundation also favors programs that focus on reducing crime and recidivism with an emphasis on early prevention. They also support programs that build on the human-animal connection and the positive effects animals can have on human health and development.
