You’ve Got the Data, Now What?

Data management and data analysis are two important contributors to program success. This workshop will introduce you to “easy” or “manageable” approaches to data management and data analysis. In this workshop, we will share information that will help you to determine when to include data management and analysis in your work, as well as, tools and tips on how to set yourself up for success in these areas.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • Define the terms “data management” and “data analysis”
  • Describe the components of a good data management plan
  • Explain the steps in the data analysis process
  • Recognize the different types of data that can be collected
  • Describe common data analysis procedures

  Dr. Nora Douglas has experience in data management and analysis as a researcher, evaluator, and manager in public education, the nonprofit sector, and state government. She is a senior consultant at CNM Connect with over 12 years of professional experience in study design; data collection, data management and analysis; report writing; and presenting results to governmental agencies, community organizations, legislators, and the general public. Her work has crossed the fields of education, social services, health care, and senior services.
