Primarily responsible for the screening, training, licensing, and placement of prospective families for the program. Responsible for marketing Hope Cottage Foster to Adopt services, with an emphasis on recruiting an appropriate number of families to sustain program goals. Conducts Home Studies and manages waiting families through foster placement. Requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor Degree in Social Work or another mental health discipline from an accredited university.
Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years child placing agency or CPS experience; history of working with prospective adoptive families and experience writing home studies preferred.
Other requirements: Must have demonstrated knowledge about CPS, foster care and adoption or the ability to learn necessary skills in a reasonable and agreed upon timeframe. Must be self-directed and self-motivated and able to function effectively with minimal supervision. Must be SAMA certified or eligible to be certified as a SAMA trainer.
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and automobile liability insurance and have regular access to a reliable automobile for use on agency business across a multi-county area.
