This key member of the development team has a heart for the under-served and a mind for spreading the message. The ideal candidate is responsible for a wide variety of marketing, communication and public relation-related tasks and responsibilities, including supporting and building the Center for Transforming Lives brand through development of an integrated marketing communications plan. Position supports the non-profit agency, and markets the agency’s social enterprises (Resale Shop, Triumph Catering, Fired Up! Salsa, and Historic 512 Event Venue).
Position plans and creates content such as: client-based success stories, social media posts, newsletter material, press releases, media pitches and reports; builds and maintains online marketing strategies through social media; plans, prepares and executes all PR events; oversees production of all collateral; maintains website; builds and maintains relationships with media, vendors, photographers, designers; schedules photoshoots, keeps photo library fresh; creates and maintains media lists and email list; has in-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google analytics; tracks and analyzes exposure on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
The ideal candidate is a strong feature writer who is also flexible, pro-active and detail-oriented who takes initiative and thinks creatively. Clear, articulate communication skills are vital, as are information gathering and problem-solving skills.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, or related field. Minimum of two years agency or in-house experience. Expertise in multiple social media platforms, Windows operating systems and Office products, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn and use other software programs, such as WIX, Google Analytics, Google Adwords and Bloomerang. Working knowledge of Adobe Indesign and Photoshop is a plus.
