SafeHaven of Tarrant County seeks a Community Coordinator. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing SafeHaven’s individual volunteer and in-kind donations programs consistent with the needs of the agency. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing and processing all volunteer applications, scheduling and facilitating volunteer orientations and managing the volunteer database. The coordinator will also solicit, manage and facilitate all in-kind donations (drives and requests) including seasonal program requests, ensuring accurate process and procedures are maintained such as scheduling and facilitating donations from local merchants and individual donors.
The Community Coordinator position requires a bachelor’s degree. The Coordinator should have an aptitude in working within a team. Former non-profit development and/or volunteer management experience is preferred. The Community Coordinator should have an aptitude in working with diverse community groups, including individual and corporate donors and community volunteers.
