 Nonprofit Marketing Certificate
 

The Nonprofit Marketing Certificate Program is a seven-part series to develop (or revise and improve) an integrated brand strategy-marketing-PR plan for your agency and hear from a variety of experts and your peers on best practices for marketing strategy.

Who Should Participate?

Nonprofit marketing, PR, events, fund development, community outreach and other professionals wanting to keep up with changes in the field and enrich their performance and careers through exposure to marketing best practices.

Participants will:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to help achieve their nonprofit’s development, program, volunteer recruitment, and other goals
  • Grasp how to conduct market research, position, brand and create marketing strategies
  • Utilize social media, media relations, marketing communications, and events to help promote the nonprofit
  • Develop communication programs that engage donors, volunteers and other stakeholders and that inspire volunteers and agency staff to become ambassadors for the mission
  • Structure marketing in the agency and to assess the need for external assistance and how to wisely select service providers
  • Explore how nonprofit and for-profit marketing norms compare and contrast
  • Develop and sell a marketing budget
  • Determine the most effective measurement tools to evaluate and improve marketing efforts

Fee: $1000 for members / $1500 for non-members
Register by August 18th & Save!  Early Registration Fee: $750 members / $1,250 non-members 

Course Schedule:  The content will be delivered in seven half-day sessions (9 am to 12 pm) once a year (Fall) in Fort Worth and once a year (Spring) in Dallas.

News media relations, cause marketing, marketing for social enterprises; participants share sections of draft marketing plans

Managing Marketing 

How to establish and sell a marketing budget; engage employee, board and volunteer support as brand ambassadors; structure a marketing staff; whether you need external marketing assistance and how to select the right option for your agency; how to evaluate marketing programs and campaigns; feedback on draft marketing plans 

December 10, 2014

Best Practices 

Overall feedback on marketing plans; sharing of the best ones
