Explore Challenges and Opportunities While Mentoring and Learning From Each Other
The 2016-2017 Leadership Circle season is now closed to new applicants. We will begin processing applications for the 2017-2018 season in May 2017. Please check back then.
CNM Leadership Circles are open to CNM members who are full-time executive directors, development directors, program directors or marketing directors at a nonprofit organization.
CNM Leadership Circles offer participants relevant and meaningful opportunities to learn with peers facing similar challenges in their role as a nonprofit professional.
Participants in like positions and of similar sized organizations are grouped together with a professional facilitator to explore challenges and opportunities while mentoring and learning from each other in a confidential environment.
The Leadership Circles are application-based. Once selected, new members are required to attend an orientation in Dallas or Fort Worth. Leadership circles will meet monthly at our Dallas or Fort Worth campuses from September through May. Facilitators will work with each circle to confirm day and time for meetings.
Learning how others approach issues and hearing their experiences helps me realize that regardless of mission or programming, we all have common issues and challenges. Being an ED can be isolating at times and knowing that I have colleagues that I can reach out to who understand and EMPATHIZE makes all the difference in the world. Leadership Circle provides a balance that I would sorely miss if I were not in a circle.Mary King
Every year, every month, every day my agency and I benefit from the Leadership Circle. What you get out of it is what you put into it. I cannot recommend this experience strongly enough.Thea Temple
During my first year of participating in a Leaders Circle, I was able to discuss important organizational topics as they occurred with a diverse group of individuals. The value of having multiple perspectives and thought partners for any given situation was priceless.Jayda Batchelder
