Jewish Family Service is seeking a full-time Community Engagement Assistant to help support the Volunteer Program. This position will serve to coordinate and assist on volunteer projects/events within the agency and the community. Primary job duties include assisting with on-site volunteer groups in the Food Pantry, with Kosher Home Delivered Meals and in the Job Search Resource Center, as well as, providing administrative support including updating the volunteer database and assisting with the volunteer screening process.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working within a non-profit agency and/or with volunteers, but entry-level candidates, including college students will be considered. Must have some flexibility to work part time some Sundays with volunteer groups. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required as well as a willingness to be trained in and learn additional software. Excellent customer relations skills required. Must have a clear background check and current driver’s license.
