A Dallas-based nonprofit organization is seeking a Director of Youth Services to provide oversight for the afterschool and summer programs which serve approximately 150 homeless and low-income children per year. The program is provided on-site and is designed to build self-esteem, promote academic success, offer spiritual guidance, improve mental, emotional and physical health, and develop nutritional awareness among its participants. The Director will oversee four part-time teachers and an assistant to ensure that curriculum is developed for all classes, policies and procedures are followed, and children are served in a manner consistent with the organizations mission and core values. Additionally, the Director will coordinate activities with partner agencies to ensure that children have access to a variety of services and educational opportunities. Qualified candidates will have Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field, minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, must have strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, must be computer literate and able to officially utilize the Microsoft Office suite, and willing to work some evenings and weekends.
