Mentor Coordinator (MC) is responsible for coordinating peer group mentoring at designated Dallas/Fort Worth area public schools using STARS curriculum. Specific job functions include recruiting and developing mentors, conducting program evaluations, provide classroom instruction, coordinate parent education events, networking with the community and schools in service area. Skills needed are excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines and objectives, strong organizational abilities and details oriented and continue ongoing relationships with school staff including teachers and principals. Computer skills required included working knowledge of MS Office - Word, Outlook and Excel and type 40 wpm. 40 hours/week, Full Benefits (Pay may be negotiable depending upon experience.)
Successful candidates will have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field required with minimum 2 years youth development experience. Must be able to engage teens and have public speaking ability. Spanish preferred.
