“Learning how others approach issues and hearing their experiences helps me realize that regardless of mission or programming, we all have common issues and challenges. Being an ED can be isolating at times and knowing that I have colleagues that I can reach out to who understand and EMPATHIZE makes all the difference in the world. Leadership Circle provides a balance that I would sorely miss if I were not in a Circle.”Mary King
CNM Leadership Circles: Explore Challenges and Opportunities While Mentoring and Learning From Each Other.
A benefit of your CNM Membership is the ability to participate in a Leadership Circle. Leadership Circles are open to CNM members who are full-time executive directors, development directors, program directors or marketing directors at a nonprofit organization.
Participants are assigned to Leadership Circles based on their role and the size of the organization. This structure provides participants with the most meaningful and relevant opportunities to learn with and from their peers who are facing similar challenges within their organization. Professional facilitators are assigned to each Leadership Circle to help guide the conversation and explore topics of interest.
CNM Leadership Circles are application-based and once selected, new members are required to attend an orientation in Dallas or Fort Worth. Leadership Circles meet monthly at CNM’s Dallas or Fort Worth campuses from September through May. Your Circle’s facilitator will work with the group to confirm a day and time for meetings.
Applications Close on June 1
Leadership Circle dues are $350.
Circles meet for 2.5 hours per month
September – May
“Every year, every month, every day my agency and I benefit from the Leadership Circle. What you get out of it is what you put into it. I cannot recommend this experience strongly enough.”Thea Temple
“During my first year of participating in a Leadership Circle, I was able to discuss important organizational topics as they occurred with a diverse group of individuals. The value of having multiple perspectives and thought partners for any given situation was priceless.”Jayda Batchelder
